2015 Ferrari FXX K

Ferrari , the kings of sexy automobiles, have created a new Italian hybrid that not only uses 848hp of real 6.3 liter V-12 Ferrari engine, but also squeezes 187hp out of an electric engine. Grand total of awesome, 1035hp.

The Trion Nemisis

The horsepower wars continue with the promise of a warp speed land-rocket by way of Trion Motors, as they make outlandish promises to create a 2000hp Twin-Turbo Charged V8 engine that can reach 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Round out the composite body, 8-speed sequential transmission, and a top speed of 270 mph and you have a futuristic wet dream of epic proportions.

Will the car ever make it to the road? Who knows, it could be a sophisticated case of vaporware, or just a bunch of nerds in a basement trying to live out their Batman dreams, but we’ll soon see; the Nemesis is supposed to hit the production line in the 2016.

2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale A

If you need visible evidence that every is more awesome when you put an E at the end of it, look no further than the pocket-busting representation of wealth and the ability to go fast, the Ferrari 458 Speciale…With an E.

But this isn’t just any land rocket north of 300k, this particular model is the ‘A’ edition. The A is for awesome. And what do you get for awesome? An entire interior finished in blue carbon fiber, a fancy yellow paint job, retractable hard top, and only about 3,000 lbs to contend with as you muscle through 600hp.

As baffling a car as the Speciale A is, I’m more baffled that Dodge produced a car for a fraction of the price with a full 100 more horsepower.

Anyway, as they say in Italy, “A Dodge ain’t no Ferrari”…Or maybe that was Pittsburgh, it’s hard to tell.

The Speciale A will only be produced 499 times, making it slightly more difficult to place it on layaway for Christmas 2034.
