Sammy Vasquez Looks to Continue Perfect Record

Sammy Vasquez Looks to Continue Perfect Record

Sammy VasquezSammy Vasquez, the real pride of Pittsburgh, is set to fight this weekend at the Greentree Sports Complex for “Lightning Strikes Greentree II”. Now don’t let the uninspiring title deter you from making the trip out to the land of green trees and lightning, Vasquez, who sits at 10-0 is sure to put on a heart pounding show, with a large portion of his pro wins coming by way of knockout.  Vasquez, a former soldier for the National Guard, has seen a rise in popularity over the last few  years, and he only continues to get better. His respect for the boxing industry, and for people in general is probably why there or droves off and at every one of his fights.

The only way I can get that kind of action is to drop change on the floor at the strip club and yell that I’m giving out college degrees. I digress. The fight card for the event must be hidden away with the riddle of the sphinx and Davinci’s code. All that I could decipher is that Rod Salka is fighting Ryan Belasco. Vasquez is fighting, and another chap named Jason Bergman. There were three events on Facebook promoting the same fight, two Sammy Vasquez fan pages, no updated site for SLG entertainment, which is putting on the fight. Just a huge amount of dead ends and frustration.

Thankfully there’s boxing to keep me distracted from all of this tom foolery. Back to Vasquez. On a very positive note, The Golden Boy himself, Oscar De La Hoya, has taken notice of Vasquez. The fact remains, Vasquez is a hybrid of speed and power that gives people a bad case of boxing stupid. It’s only a matter of time before Vasquez blows up and doesn’t have time for snarky editor’s comments like mine.
