Rodney Burrell is the editor of Burrell Media Group (BMG), a magazine and book publishing firm based in Tampa, FL with satellite offices in Pittsburgh, PA.
BMG was founded in 2004 and currently publishes 13 magazines ranging from the automotive to fashion industries.
Burrell is a 14-year veteran in the publishing industry, and has spoken at Duquesne, Point Park, USF, and Grove City College.
His expertise is paramount in creating substantial and relevant magazines within a very complex and unforgiving publishing culture.
Burrell has performed every job imaginable in the magazine business. Sales, Management, Editing, Writing, Fulfillment, Circulation, Distribution, Marketing, Public Relations, Design, Photography, Creative Direction, and Talent Scouting are just some of his duties over the past 14 years.
Burrell consulted several publishers on best practices and helped countless new publishers achieve their dreams of owning and running a legitimate magazine.
