Lacey Chabert is film and voice actress based in the city of angels, although she hails from the backwoods of Mississippi. She’s one of the few child actresses that has actually transitioned into a somewhat productive acting career without spiraling down the road of drug use and mugshots. Her initial claim to fame would be as Claudia Salinger on the hit series, Party of Five. Her next big break would be the cult classic, Mean Girls, as she played ditzy high-school cohort, Gretchen Wieners.
Fun fact: Chabert was actually Meg Griffin for the first season of Family Guy and she also played Young Cosette in Les Miserables.
Chabert currently has a recurring role as Dr. Amy Shaw on the sit-com, Baby Daddy. She’s also been cast off into Hallmark land, starring in several feel-good flicks that probably end with her falling in love, or at least giggling and staring into someone’s dreamy eyes.
The only time Chabert will ever be referred to as a heavyweight is in the voice acting department, where she has been featured in countless animated films and cartoons.
Overall, Chabert seems nice enough. I was impressed that she has a blog in which she actually wrote her own stories. Although the site hasn’t been updated in probably 6 months, we appreciate the literary effort.
