Jessica Szohr

Jessica Szohr Knuckle Dragger Magazine (2)Jessica Szohr is an actress and model that is well-known for her role as Vanessa Abrams on the CW’s “Gossip Girl”. She has a virtual cocktail of mixtures in her racial background that includes Hungarian, African-American, and English.

Szohr started modeling at  age six and appeared in  Quaker Oats ad when she was 10. More modeling gigs followed, with Szohr appearing in ads for Kohls, Crate&Barrel, Mountain Dew, Jan Sport, Sears, and Jockey.

While in school, Szohr also caught the entrepreneur bug when she and her friend started a cleaning company to clean their teachers’ homes.

Szohr, who admitted to almost moving home several times during her pursuit of an acting career, made  her splash in the 2000’s. Her debut gig was on the sit-com, “My Wife and Kids”, starring Damon Wayans. From there, she went on to appear in television shows That’s So Raven, What About Brian, and Joan of Arcadia.

Unfortunately, Szohr’s breakout film was none other than the horror/comedy/boobtatsic “Piranha 3D”, where she played a hot townie named Kelly Driscoll.

Other films followed, as Szohr starred alongside Mandy Moore and Kellan Lutz in the romantic comedy “Love, Wedding, Marriage”. Szohr has some great acting genes coursing through those beautiful veins, I hope she gets a shot at a major role within the next couple years.

It would be ashame for such a talented young actress to never get a shot with a mega movie. Although she is a hottie, I would like to see her in a more refined role that showcases her talent versus her looks.

Adding to her likeability, and following the nauseating trend of every other person in the world with a pulse, Szohr doesn’t have a Facebook or Myspace page. In fact, she only recently got a Twitter account.

Szohr activities include yoga, snowboarding, hiking, and soccer. She’s from Wisconsin, so we won’t hold anything against her for liking the Green Bay Packers. Enjoy this movie trailer of  “Love Bites”, Szohr’s 2012 film where she plays a hot warewolf.
