I’m a fan of nerds, especially attractive ones. Olivia Munn, who is ranked as one of the top 10 hottest women on the planet, balances her nerd like ways with acting, modeling, and playing video games. The Oklahoma City native was raised in Toyko, Japan and became a fashion model in Japanese fashion industry. She is the former host of G4’s “Attack of the Show!” a video game and geek related TV show.
Munn got absolutely torched from all of the gamers that said she wasn’t an authentic gamer and that she just got the job because she was hot. Yes, Munn is not an avid gamer, but she does play. All of the guys in their mother’s basements or sitting in a dark room with a bag of corn curls should be excited that there’s an attractive female embracing a sub-culture of anti-social wankers.
Nevertheless, Munn moved onto other projects such as a correspondent on the daily Show, in which again she got lambasted for being hot from Irin Carmon, a feminist journalist, who is not hot. So there lies the problem.
Other appearances include NBC’s “Chuck”, “Magic Mike”, FOX’s “New Girl”, where she played Nick’s stripper girlfriend. She was actually quite funny by the way. Munn also penned a book called “Suck it, Wonder Woman: The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek”.
Munn is an active member of the PETA and posed naked for the organizations “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign in April 2010.
