The 2013 Hennessey Venom GT

It might seem to the general public that we’re behind the 8-ball featuring a 2013 car when 2014 is damn near over with, but just wait a second, there’s something to be said about this car. It’s called the Venom GT, and it’s manufactured by hyper-performance tune shop, Hennessey.

Started back in the 91′, Hennessey has been making automotive wet dreams become a reality for a couple of decades. And now the Texas-based company is sticking with the motto of “Everything is bigger in Texas” as they’ve managed to create the most powerful and fastest roadster in the world. No big deal.

The Venom GT is built on the Lotus Exige platform and is outfitted with a twin-turbo, 7-liter, V-8 engine producing a fist-pumping 1244 horsepower. It rockets up to 60mph in 2.7 seconds. Verified top speed is 270 mph, and the estimated top speed is 278 mph.

Price tag, 1.1 million dollars. Only 5 Venoms are produced each year, making the car not only the fastest, but one of the most coveted hyper-cars on the planet.
